That's more than you'd get with the base-level 2.4-liter i-FORCE turbo 4-cylinder engine in the Toyota 4Runner with only 278 horsepower. Another way the Ford Bronco pulls into the lead is by giving you a standard four-wheel drive system while the Toyota 4unner offers four-wheel drive only as an available upgrade.

In addition, the Ford Bronco's 4x4 system is teamed up with a Terrain Management System™ with up to seven available G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) modes. You can choose modes like Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl to conquer whatever terrain is in front of you. The Toyota 4Runner doesn't offer the same selectable drive modes so you'd miss a big advantage when you wanted to tackle the trails.
