Oil Change Maintenance

Newer Ford Ecosport models come with the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor System maintenance message. This appears as an OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message in your information display at every programmed oil change interval (every 7500-10000 mi for normal use) . 

As soon as the oil change message appears in the information display, bring your Ford EcoSport in for oil service. When you arrive, you should also request that the following services be performed:

• Recommended multi-point inspection.
• Automatic transmission fluid level inspection (consult us for requirements).
• Brake pads, rotors, hoses and parking brake inspection.
• Engine cooling system strength and hoses check.
• Exhaust system and heat shield check.
• Rear axle and U-joints - four-wheel drive only inspection.
• Half-shaft boots inspection. 
• Steering linkage, ball joints, suspension, tire-rod ends, driveshaft and U-joints inspection.
• Tires, tire wear, and tread depth measure check.
• Wheels and related components for abnormal noise, wear, looseness or drag check.

Every 20,000 miles

• Replace cabin air filter.

Every 30,000 miles

• Replace engine air filter.

At 100,000 miles  

• Change Orange engine coolant and motor electronics coolant. 

At 200,000 miles 

• Change yellow engine coolant and motor electronics coolant.

Every 100,000 miles

• Replace spark plugs.
• Inspect accessory drive belt or belts. 

Every 150,000 miles  

• Change automatic transmission fluid.
• Replace accessory drive belt or belts.
